So, with all the procrastination I have recently partaken in as of late, I figured why not find another venue to, yet again, wet the palate of time wasting ways in posting to my little blog...
Recently Justin Gatlin broke the world record in the men's 100 m... quite a feat, not just for J-Gat; but for man. I say that, because as one who is into track and field, I have always wondered how fast man can go. It does not seem humanly possible to run a 100m dash in 0.1 sec; 1.0 sec; or even 6.0 seconds...
But I ask; is 9.5 possible, 9.0, 8.0?
It seems that there must be a limit... or will hundredths of a second be whittled off of that mark of the speed of man, the end of which for only time to tell...
Yet, nevertheless; now we have a time; set in place for others to strive, to stride, to strain for in their effort to become the worlds fastest man; breaking a mark set by those before...
This sure looks to be a good summer for track and field... Congratulations J-Gat and to track and field, for its recognition is much needed, not on the world scene, so much as here in the United States.
