here in the great salt lake... well, i am not IN the lake so much as i am in that which lacks. i figured that salt lake would be a fairly cold environment. however, who could have predicted that their big shopping center would be an outdoor mall. it's huge... and cold... and filled with all-too-sparsly dispersed, intermittently placed, randomly inconvenient heaters that affect the ginormous radius of 2 feet. wow. so, i sit here and ponder this as i stare out the starbucks window and gaze upon the mountains. how beautifully large and commanding they are. it sure would be nice to be able to spend a few days here, go skiing, boarding, or what-have-you and thoroughly enjoy what is around this city. thus far i would have to say that i really like it hear... but the i still have the rest of the night and tomorrow to keep forming opinions. well, time to go to the program director's house for din-din [those seem touch and go between various programs... haven't had one yet at the HOUSE of the director... awkward? i hope not!]
well, until next time...
